Does walton mean anything anymore

Postby kx lover » Mon Mar 03, 2008 8:02 am

With the new so called east coast amature national (in ontario) does walton hold the same prestige as it did in the 90's. This question has been bugging me for weeks and I would like to know what other riders think and is it worth all the and time off work and money if it doesnt.

I don't know about prestige, but for me it's a fun relaxing week away from everything . I look forward to Walton every year like some would a vacation down south. I wouldn't care if we were racing for the title of champion of Huron county. I would still be first in line.and last at the checkers, (had to beat Ruddy 116 to that one).

Hey, no new news here but I curious when Walton ever did mean anything?

Let me re-prhase that...other than a great event, what was the big deal about it anyway...???

The fastest guys didn't always show up and it was a mini-dad mayhem event...

I'll take the old track layout and a PRO only event any day :!

Walton is nothing more than a chance to catch up with old friends and catch up on my drinking! I am in the same boat as many... the racing mean very little... but the people and the good times make it worth the trip!

Who ever led you to believe that they did????

When I was handing of free shit Walton meant about as much as winning at Chicken Licks Raceway...

It's all about "attitude"... :!

"WWW" That about sums it up!!! lol It used to be fun back in 00, 01 but with prices and attitudes skyrocketing... it's just another race. Lorettas it is NOT!!! Not even close, truth be told your much better off to take that money and head west or east to Michigan or WNYMA. Far better facilities and definitely a more WELCOME atmosphere!
