Worked all day at the track again today finishing our fencing and more importantly, building jumps and obstacles. We're almost there. We will be looking to secure track insurance this week and may be ready for our inaugural practice day possibly July 30th. I'll let you know for sure once we find out about the insurance, but you B.C. riders in the area, please spread the word to everyone you know and come out to support us in this venture. New tracks don't open every day and we would love for you to rip it up on ours and make it a success.

The track is basically complete and ready to ride. The obstacles are all in and the track has had its final grooming and disking. Our application for liability insurance has been sent away and are just waiting for a reply, so that is almost wrapped up. The final step is a form of dust suppression. Stan is working hard on his water truck getting it ready to go and I picked up a bunch of fire hose so we are almost ready to go with that part of it. We want everything to be perfect for our inaugural ride day so just bear with us a little longer. I know it seems to be taking forever but believe me when I say that its amazing how many hours setting something like this up takes when you're starting from scratch. (And with no money) Our goal at the start of the year was to be open before the summer was over and I think we will meet that goal - barely.
My son did go out the other night - just to ensure it was safe for everyone of course. Hint, hint, wink, wink.

Looks great Dano, but, now this seems like an appeasement for the bullshit bylaw recently passed by the Town of Princeton banning all OHV use, on town or private land, within town boundaries. After public outcry an amendment was issued to allow OHV use on private land but there is still the issue of OHV use on the Trans Canada Trail which runs through the town. From some of the feedback I have read on Twitter and Facebook - it looks like the non motorized users don't want to share.

I'm not getting myself pulled into the political bullshit over the Trans Canada Trail and quads - I'm just trying to open a racetrack. All I know is that the mayor and councillors of the town of Princeton have backed us 100% with building a motocross track on town property with the goal of attracting riders here to come practice and race. Thats where I come in, as all I want is to see is a track full of riders here riding and racing on a track that I had a hand in building.

All right, I finally have an opening weekend set up. First scheduled practice days at the new Princeton MX Track will be Sept 17th and 18th 10am to 4 pm. I've got insurance, dust suppression, approval from the grounds and we're good to go. As with most other tracks you will be required to purchase an annual membership for $30, which will be good for one year from time of purchase, along with the normal $30 /day practice fee. Please spread the word and come out to support us these days. We've been working our asses off all summer for this and I hope it to be a success and make it feel like it was all worth it. You can stay at the track Sat night if you'd like or there are plenty of accommodations here in Princeton that would be happy to have you if you would like to stay for both days and don't feel like driving back and forth. Hope to see you there.

Look into making a Facebook page! It's probably the fastest/easiest way to get the info out! Cheers

P.s let me know when you make it so I can share the page ;) ;) nudge nudge
