Interesting ebay find 'works KX'

Postby steve66 » Wed Sep 16, 2009 1:22 am

I thought some of you might find this interesting,..............there are quite a few old mxer's on ebay with sellers claiming them to be rare or special in some way but this bike actually appears to me to be an actual works kawasaki from 82, the triple clamps, swing arm/linkage & forks all looking to be works items from that era,the seller didn't seem to really know what it was but only knew it wasn't a stock kx and it was a 250,the bidding went from 0 -$4,000 real quick and then it disappeared off ebay within the hour ,so I don't know how it turned out,I put up a pic of Dave Thorpe in 82 on a factory 500 for comparison.
